My Father and My God,
Thank You for who You are, what You have done, and what You continue to do!
You uphold all things by the Word of Your power.
For it’s in You that all creatures live and move and have their being!
Thank You that You are sovereign over everything in the universe.
You govern all things for Your glory and the good of Your church!
Thank You for redemption, forgiveness, justification, sanctification, and glorification!
Thank You for Jesus, my Redeemer!
Thank You for the Holy Spirit, my Sanctifier!
Thank You for Your holy Word, the very means the Holy Spirit uses to conform believers into Christ’s image!
Thank You, heavenly Father, for Your forgiveness!
Thank You that when I confess my sins to You that You are faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness!
Thank you that You no longer hold my sins against me but cast them as far as the East is from the West.
Never do you bring my sins, which are multitude, up against me again for they are all washed away by Christ’s blood!
Thank You for Your kindness! You are long-suffering! You are merciful! You are gracious! Yet You are just, holy, and righteous!
My God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit: I do love You! You know that I love You for You are omniscient.
You have implanted Your love in my heart! I love You because You first loved me!
But sadly, my love for You and for others is not what it ought to be. It’s far from it!!
I fail to love You with my whole heart! I fail miserably every day! I fail in thought, word, and deed!
I feel the sinful pull in my heart towards unrighteousness, and yet I realize the work of the Holy Spirit who daily keeps me on the straight and narrow path that leads to life!
Holy Spirit, without You I would fall flat on my face! I would utterly fail! As a washed pig returns to the mud, and a dog returns to lick its vomit, so I would run headlong into the way of sin unless You keep me in the way of truth and assure my heart of forgiveness in Christ!
If not for Your grace, there go I.
Lord Jesus, I praise You that You never failed to love the Father with Your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength on my behalf and that of all Your sheep.
Even on the cross while suffering the inexpressible anguish, pains, and terrors, You loved the Father perfectly with all Your being!
What Amazing grace, Lord Jesus! What an amazing Savior that You are! “Hallelujah! What A Savior!”
“Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! For once I was lost but now I am found, I was blind but now I see.”
Strengthen me, heavenly Father, by Your Word and Spirit that I may live completely for Jesus!
Cause me to be sold out for Jesus! Used up for Jesus! That I may boast only in Jesus!
Strengthen me that I may humbly serve Him, love Him, follow Him, focus on Him, obey Him, rejoice in Him, trust Him, and faithfully confess His name! May I be blessed by Your hand, O LORD, to honor and glorify Jesus in all my words and works.
Lift me up when I sin, discipline me when I drift, and keep me humble when I obey!
I ask all this in Jesus’ holy and precious name!
