My Father and My God,
Thank You for the Lord’s Day so that Your people might gather to worship and praise You.
For as Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27).
We gather to hear Your Word, to be filled with Your Spirit, to sing out the honor of Your name.
We gather to give You the glory due Your holy name.
We gather to exalt all Your attributes, and to find refuge in You as our sovereign God.
Thank You for saving me! Of myself, I am so undeserving and unworthy!
Thank You, Jesus, for living and dying in my place!
Thank You for fulfilling all the righteous demands of the Law of God in my place.
Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross to satisfy the justice of God against my sins.
Thank You for turning away God’s wrath from me by absorbing it all in your own person.
Thank You for Your forgiveness!
Thank You that when we confess our sins to You that You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness.
Thank You for Your kindness, mercy, grace, love, and compassion to weak, sinful fragile vessels, such as I.
O GOD; Father, Son, Holy Spirit, I love You! You have implanted Your love in my heart.
I love You because You first loved me.
But my love for You and for others is not what it ought to be. It’s so imperfect, so weak!
I fail daily to love You with my whole heart! I fail miserably!
I fail to love my neighbor as myself!
I have sinful thoughts, words, and actions!
But praise Jesus that He never failed to love You, Heavenly Father, with His whole heart, soul, mind, and strength on behalf of His people.
Jesus never failed to love His neighbor as Himself!
What Amazing grace of Jesus that saved a wretch like me!
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Cor. 5:21).
Heavenly Father, I need Your constant forgiveness as I have not reflected Your glory as I ought!
Lord Jesus, I need Your continual abiding presence and Your face shining upon me lest I slip into despair, discouragement, or depression!
Holy Spirit, I need You every hour! I need Your presence, power, and assuring work within my soul.
O GOD, Revive me again to serve You with zeal and vigor!
Here am I; send me!
I ask all these things in Jesus’ name!
