Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this Lord’s Day and the new opportunities You will bring my way.
Help me to be faithful and thereby reflect Your character as You are faithful.
As Your Word declares, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself” (2 Tim. 2:13).
Help me to be sensitive to the needs of others.
Help me to show sympathy and empathy towards my fellow man.
Help me to be bold with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and compassionate towards those who do not know Your salvation.
Forgive me, Heavenly Father, for I have broken all Your commandments.
Forgive me for what I have done and for who I am!
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for making atonement for my sins by Your perfect law-abiding life and sin-atoning death.
I have absolutely no hope of redemption apart from Your righteousness, holiness, and perfect satisfaction.
Jesus, I trust You alone for salvation, justification, righteousness, forgiveness, holiness, sanctification, and glorification.
Use me, Lord Jesus! Use me for Your glory. I belong to You! Shepherd me, O Great Jehovah!
I belong to You, care for me, My Lord and My God.
Grant me greater wisdom, zeal, joy, courage, and kindness that You might be glorified by my words and works.
Forgive me for my sins of not doing what I ought to do, and doing things that I ought not to do. You alone are my all in all. Holy Spirit, teach me humility.
Teach me to love God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit, in a greater measure.
Teach me to love other believers in a greater way.
Teach me to love my neighbor as myself and also to love those who hate me.
Lead me in the straight and narrow path that leads to life.
Increase my faith by Your Word, Power, and Presence. Increase Your fruit within me! Cause love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control to abound within and manifest in my actions!
Shepherd my wandering heart and cause me to daily rejoice in the Gospel of Christ.
“Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above!”
Cause me to rejoice and daily remind myself that I am redeemed by Christ, that I am being sanctified, that I am on the narrow road that leads to life, and all because of the Grace of God in Christ Jesus!
Cause me to rejoice that I will one day be glorified!
Cause me to be content with Your all-sufficient provision and providence.
O Father, cause me to daily sing the song of salvation to Your glory, honor, and praise!
Bless the Hope congregation this morning as we partake of the Lord’s Supper!
Cause us to remember Christ’s life, death, resurrection, ascension, session, and His coming again to consummate His Kingdom.
Strengthen those who mourn. Grant health to the sick. Uplift the downcast.
Cause the weary to focus on Christ because when we lose sight of Christ we become weary.
I ask all this for Christ’s honor and glory and in His holy name.
Amen!
